Troubleshooting: Number of settings being saved exceeds PHP max input vars
You might see a popup message in Beaver Builder that the PHP Max Input Vars setting is lower than the number of settings being saved.
The PHP max_input_vars setting limits how many input variables can be accepted. This is a security feature for DDoS attacks, but in some cases, the limit might need to be increased to accommodate the number of post variables that Beaver Builder is saving.
There are several ways to increase the maximum limit. Choose whichever of the following methods you're comfortable with. We recommend trying a value of 5000.
1 Ask your provider to do it
Contact your hosting provider and ask them to increase the
max_input_vars limit. Use the error message as a guide to how high you need the limit to be, or ask for a value of around 5000.
2 Edit wp-config.php
Add the following line to your site's wp-config.php file in the wordpress root directory, above the line that says
/* That's all, stop editing! Happy blogging. */
@ini_set( 'max_input_vars' , 5000 );
3 Edit .htaccess
Add the following line to your site's .htaccess file:
php_value max_input_vars 5000;
4 Edit php.ini
If your site has a php.ini file, you can change or add the following line:
max_input_vars = 5000;
